My run didn’t happen today!
Today I had a four and a half mile run in my book. Today, I also had planned on being at the pool with Sasha early. The other plans I had for today fell through too. You know what? Who cares? Life happens. I have three more days in my week to complete what I wanted to complete today.
For some reason I was having technical difficulties with my Polar heart rate strap syncing with my phone and my watch- This sort of stuff makes me cringe! I am in such a habit of working out and knowing my heart rate zones whether I use my iWatch or my iPhone. I got so distracted wasting time on trying to fix the heart rate strap, that mentally I couldn’t run. I know- how pathetic. I will tell you, I did try to run, for about five minutes, but my legs felt so heavy from yesterday’s leg workout and run, that yours truly gave in and gave up. One positive thing though, I did complete my chest + triceps workout!
Because it’s summer and Sasha is not going to summer camp yet (because mama is too attached), I had to stop going to Kyle over at Mason Street. I am trying to keep up with the heavier weights as far as my big body parts- chest, back, legs and glutes. It’s no easy task, especially because I don’t have him watching me and spotting me, but I am managing. I am going to try to do legs with Mario so at least he can just be there if I need.
Below, you can see some videos I have made doing some of these exercises. If this post was emailed directly to you, you should go to my website to view the videos.

SO, what do I do when my plans fall through? I do whatever I was supposed to do as soon as possible. I don’t skip it altogether and I don’t brush it off. I make sure that my journal reflects what needs to happen next and I execute! No excuses!
