I started prepping my vacation body back in December! Oh yes, you heard that right! We leave for vacation in nineteen days, and I will be ready to look my best!
February is the time of year where the East Coast Peeps are pretty much OVER the Winter and the cold weather. I know I am over the bitterly cold weather, the naked trees and wet grounds from melting snow and rainy days.
If you are like us, You’re going on vacation sometime in late February or March. We go away every March for a much-needed overdose of Vitamin D somewhere HOT! This year we are going back to Arizona.
Since you have been reading my blogs for some time now, you know that I prepare for summer starting in late December. While I do tend to stay lean all year, vacations are a time where I want to leave it all behind.
I want to be in a bathing suit, preferably a bikini and one I will feel incredible in. I want to look and feel my best. I get super dressed even when we go to casual places. It’s my time to shine- just put.
To look and feel my best, I create a plan that includes nutrition and workouts that mold my physique into what I want. For the next three weeks, I will be sharing my tips and tricks for tightening my muscles. I’ll give you ideas that you can use to get your skin to GLOW.
When you go on vacation, the last thing you want to worry about is how your bathing suit fits or how your clothes fit. You want to rock your outfits, and just radiate.
I was looking through my old blog posts about vacation body prep, and there was one constant thing I did, and that is to train in the gym like a beast! That is the one thing I will continue to do.
My goal is NOT to lose weight. I train hard already. I don’t have much body-fat. If you were to ask my husband, he would say I need to gain some. I prefer to stay extra lean, but tight and defined. I have a love-hate relationship with my legs. I love how strong they are, but I wish they were more defined. My secret is NOT doing tons of cardio. I don’t want to run off any lean muscle I have. I do run still, but nothing of long distance for more reasons than burning off lean muscle. For me, cardio is the icing on the cake. I use it to sweat out water retention and to keep my heart healthy. Yes, I also do cardio to burn fat and keep it off, but it’s how I do cardio that is different from the cardio bunnies you see in the gym.
Over the next 19 days, I will post and share my workouts along with the meals I have created with my goals in mind. I’ll share the supplements I take and when. In the meantime, check out my older posts about getting that body vacation ready, I have even posted about what I eat on vacation. Looking through these posts, there are some things I am changing and some of the things I listed, I may not eat anymore, which is why I created this post. I am offering some new and updated advice.
If you want to know how I eat on vacation, I’ve got you covered here too!
