Ha! Isn’t this the truth! Sometimes I will get into bed by nine thirty, but NOT fall asleep until I have exhausted every single thought in my brain! Sometimes, I will type my thoughts into notes so I can then put into my blog in the morning and other times I will jump up and grab my laptop, depending on how comfy I am in my bed.
This month- July, I set some goals for myself. One of those goals is to SLEEP more. I actually took my Liquid Melatonin last night, got into bed at nine thirty and passed out by ten O’clock! Although I woke up very sleepy (I took the melatonin too late) I know later and by the end of this week, I will feel great again!
Since I promised you all of my workouts and runs, I will share with you what I have done since last week.

Saturday, July 1st-
I worked out with my babe! First time in a long time. We did legs, but you know me, Mrs. Ants in my pants, I had to throw in other stuff like abs and back…..
I didn’t write it down, but we did Deadlifts (5 sets and going as heavy as 175) // I did pull ups in between (5 sets of 5). We did leg extensions, Leg presses, band lat pulldowns, side obliques, and then finished with the stair monster for 4 minutes because the gym was a mess from construction!
Monday, July 3rd-
6.5-mile run! CRUSHED IT! I will tell you that at mile three, I wanted to stop and go workout, but then my endorphins kicked in and I finished!
Tuesday, July 4th-
Happy Birthday, America! Oh man! Today was one of those days where I could have gone to Lifetime to workout, could have gone to the gym I manage at one of the Country Clubs, could have worked out in my basement (where it’s amazingly cool, carpeted and so pretty) or I could have worked out in my yard. Sasha and I decided that the yard would be best!
Here is the workout:
Took me about an hour- if you don’t count the times I stopped to do something for Sasha or to suck down some water!
⊗ Kettlebell Swings- Goal was 100… I did 70
⊗ Kettlebell Push Press-Goal was 50… I did 34
⊗ V-Ups- Goal was 100… I did 30
⊗ Cowboy Squats-Goal was 50… I did 30
⊗ Burpee Box Jumps-Goal was 50… I did 27
⊗ Push ups-Goal was 50… I did 40
**I added in this circuit after Sasha went inside**
⊗ Jump Rope- 60
⊗ Russian Twists- Held Sasha’s soccer ball- 90
⊗ Push Ups-12
⊗ Mountain Climbers-60
⊗ Push Press-15
⊗ Side Obliques-30
I felt great! I was sweaty, my back and boobs were soaked and I even got a tan! Who is better than me? Anyway, Sasha and Mama needed to eat something because it was lunch time. I made her a fabulous Grilled Cheese, which is her fav, and this mama had an amazing Fit Mama G Salad with Tuna in it.
Believe it or not, after that, I grabbed Sasha’s bike, tossed it in my car, and drove us to the high school track. We lasted about an hour. I did box jumps and sprinted the stairs, along with my little side kick. Let me just tell you she is amazing! She did box jumps up the entire stadium stairs (little ones)! I was so impressed by this little girl!
While our Fourth of July wasn’t anything spectacular, since Mario was in bed with the stomach bug, we had a great day in the sun being active! Life is what you make it, and we make it healthy and fit!
