Well, there goes another month checked off the calendar, huh? It was a pretty busy month for my house, that’s for sure. School is in full swing for little miss Sasha, and she is loving it every single day. It still kills me that she runs right in the class and doesn’t even turn to say goodbye. Some days, I stand there a second to see if she turns to look at me, and some days I try to dodge the other moms and kids in the hall like I am in a race, so I can get to the gym and get my workout in! Every second counts when you only have two and a half hours to get it all done!
We had Sasha’s fourth birthday party at Lifetime Fitness this year. I invited just her class, which turned out to be an incredible day for our little girl! She has a great class with great friends. Mario and I both love watching how she speaks with her friends and how they play together. This is such a fun age because you never know what will come out of her mouth and usually she has no problem saying what she wants or speaking what’s on her mind. She is independent most of the time, sometimes she wants to be babied and sometimes I am in the mood and other times, I am not. I’d like to say that no one knows me better than Mario, but I have to say, this kid can read me better than no other, including Mario! It’s crazy! We are that attached!
In other news, I have finally finished the David Siik Ultimate Treadmill Workout Book!
I have done a 5K, two Half Marathons and have been running since 2008 regularly, with the exception of being pregnant with Sasha, which knocked me on my ass so I couldn’t run. Not going to lie, I never thought I would finish the book, simply because of the incline runs. They are HARD! However! If you follow his program and instruction, you will make some major changes in not only your endurance but your strength to conquer the hills in those runs. With every run, I was mindful of my body and how it was feeling. Finishing each run left me more empowered than ever before! My legs feel so strong and when I am running those hills at a faster speed than I am used to, well, then I just call myself a BAD ASS MAMA! When I was logging my runs in my journal last week, I went to turn the page in his book to write out my run, and there were no more! I flipped back and then forward again in confusion thinking, “Wait, that’s it? No more? Did I finish the book? Now what?” I think he needs to write a sequel. The last run I did was on Friday and I conquered it. I took yesterday off from the gym and also today which is Sunday. I just wrote out my new run schedule for the next two months along with my workouts which I will invite you to follow along and do them too! That’s for another post!
You’ve been seeing my posts on my incredibly delicious Glo-Bites right? My old customer’s clients friends and family are all so excited they are back. Not only are they incredibly delicious, they taste even better than before with a few changes to my formulation. I’ve created a Glo-Bite for adults too! No, not spiked with Prosecco or Vodka, but filled with ingredients to keep you glowing from the inside out and feeling happy! You can have these gooey little balls without feeling guilty that you are eating something so yummy!
Glo-Bites make great hostess gifts. I picture a beautiful dessert table with these on the side. So pretty, especially with the holidays coming up! Speaking of holidays, I am creating a red Glo-Bite! I will fill you in soon…. Just a little tease for you (wink-wink)! I am shipping them, so place your orders soon! Your kids will thank you and you and your girlfriends can sit and catch up with a cup of coffee or tea along with these little yummies!
Lastly, do you remember my post a while back about ADAPTOGENS? You can check out this post and this one too. More and more women I come across are going through “the changes”, including me! You aren’t alone. In another post, I’ll share some of the things us women are going through and what you can expect should you go to an endocrinologist. My experience left me feeling lost alone and more depressed than before. Knowing I wasn’t alone truly lifted my spirits. We can’t give up on ourselves. We have NO control over Mother Nature and what our bodies will ALL eventually go through, but we can alleviate the symptoms and feel great.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Get ready to feel great going into this holiday season with some great recipes, runs, and workouts! Get that journal out and start writing your goals! I’m here to help! XX
