Some mornings I wake up and just want something fast easy and satiating. Breakfast for me has to be nutrient dense! I have two nutrient dense breakfasts for you today!
Since I don’t like eggs for breakfast, I need to create other recipes to make sure I get enough protein. I prefer to start my day with fruit, fat + fiber! In my opinion, eating breakfast is the best way to start your day. I am grouchy as heck without my caffeine and fuel (food).
Thanks to my mother, growing up my sister and I never had the option of skipping breakfast. It’s a habit that has stuck with me ever since!
I rotate my breakfasts and I do the same for Sasha. Some days We like a smoothie bowl or a protein pancake. She isn’t the kid who likes the same meals over and over. I can’t blame her, this mama is the same way! At four, she already gets bored of all my fancy homemade breakfasts… can you believe it!?!?
The bread we use in our house is Food For Life.
I choose this type of bread over all others first and foremost because of the ingredients, also because of the taste and because it’s super high in fiber. Two slices have eight grams of fiber! The higher the fiber, the fuller you are for longer which also means you won’t overeat!
Organic Sprouted Wheat, Filtered Water, Organic Sprouted Flax, Organic Sprouted Barley, Organic Sprouted Millet, Organic Malted Barley, Organic Sprouted Lentils, Organic Sprouted Soybeans, Organic Sprouted Spelt, Fresh Yeast, Organic Wheat Gluten, Sea Salt. Rolled in Organic Flax Seeds.
Here are our breakfasts for this wet and rainy Tuesday!!
Sasha wanted French toast. I find this an incredibly sneaky way for your picky kids to get enough protein fats and complex carbs to keep them healthy and energized throughout the morning!
While mama wanted toast with nut butter and banana. This meal has been a fav of mine since I started training for half marathons back in 20010!!
Here are the recipes for both!

– [ ] Cinnamon to taste

– [ ] Coconut oil spray
– [ ] 1 T. Local honey
– [ ] 1 T. Almond butter
