A day at the beach in April?? Sure, I’ll take it! Mornings usually consist of Sasha and I having breakfast together and either doing some ABCMouse or she’ll watch an episode of Mickey’s Clubhouse or we just chat. We take our time unless it’s a morning where I have to work. On Tuesday, it was ridiculously gorgeous out and so early in the morning. I fed her and myself, and we got dressed, packed up her beach toys and some blankets and headed to the local beach right down the street from my house. For snacks, all I packed for her were frozen grapes and Honey Nut Cheerios and some coconut water. I am enforcing the NO JUNK eating rule until she learns that Breakfast Lunch and Dinner are to be eaten.
It was perfect! We arrived at ten O’clock, and there were probably about 15 other people spread out on the beach. It’s small, so when it’s crowded, think of opening a can of sardines, and that’s exactly what it feels like!
After ten minutes of looking for rocks, she wanted her snacks! So typical of her! So she sat on our blankets and we people watched together and talked about the rocks, the water and how to build a sand castle. While we had no luck building one because I suck, I was successful at bringing buckets of water to and from for her to play with!
The beach got packed at around 11:00 and it was time for us to get going. Obviously, it took about thirty more minutes before we really packed up and left. She is sporting a cute little tan and this sun-bleached dirty blonde hair- which is so annoyingly perfect! UGH!
The sun left me feeling re-energized so much that we drove home, parked the car and took her stroller and walked into town. We got a great big dose of Vitamin D. I have Spring Fever, and thankfully the winter is gone for now!
All I am craving is my celery juice, salads, and lean proteins! I am sticking to my SUPER low carb meals and shedding the thickness of my body. Feeling lean these days and so much better in my clothes! Are you ready for tank tops and shorts???
